We got the new myovision and got it going in time for our screenings. On Thursday we scheduled 49 new patients and another 11 on Friday. Sixty new patient’s in 2 days isn’t too bad! We haven’t even gotten around to hooking it up to a larger monitor yet! Once again, thank you for your great service.

After my 1st dynamic sEMG for an IME I wrote my report and sent it to the attorney. The client had a T7 spinous fracture due to a car accident in which he was ejected from the vehicle. The neuro gave him a 7% impairment due to the fracture. The IME ortho agreed. My exam also showed everything normal, until I did the dynamic sEMG, which showed some normal and some not. Due to the muscle guarding, I gave him another 7% impairment, which brought him up to 14%.
Based on my MyoVision exam and report, and with only ONE objective finding, the case settled for $150,000. The attorney said he would have gotten $250,000 if his client had been wearing a seatbelt. Prior to my report the attorney had NO offer.

When I first started looking at surface EMG, I had actually looked at one of MyoVision’s competitors, but I was unimpressed by the reproducibility of their equipment. I didn’t trust the results.
